"On 26 May 2026, HIQA published seven inspection reports on permanent International Protection Accommodation Service (IPAS) centres. The reports found varying compliance with national standards. Good practice included access to health and social services and education support. Areas for improvement included food preparation, accommodation, safeguarding, and special needs identification. In two centres, safeguarding issues were not reported to authorities. Providers must submit compliance plans."
