"On 23 April 2026, HIQA published five inspection reports on permanent International Protection Accommodation Service (IPAS) centres in Ireland, covering centres in Sligo, Galway, Cork, Kerry and Clare. Compliance with national standards varied; good practices included health access and education, while areas for improvement included accommodation, governance, and vulnerability assessments. Two centres lacked vulnerability assessments for all residents."
