HIQA publishes 20 inspection reports on Irish disability centres including eight adult safeguarding thematic inspections (hiqa.ie)

"On 26 June 2026, HIQA published 20 inspection reports on designated centres for people with disabilities in Ireland, including eight thematic inspections on adult safeguarding. Inspectors found good practice at some centres but identified non-compliance at others, including restrictive environments, institutional routines, fee discrepancies, unclean premises, and infection risks. Providers of non-compliant centres submitted compliance plans; the Chief Inspector invited Sunbeam House Services to an escalation meeting due to high non-compliance."
