"HIQA published 22 inspection reports on designated centres for people with disabilities in Ireland on 17 June 2026. Inspectors noted good practice in some centres, including resident independence and positive staff feedback. However, several centres required improvements. A Dunshane Camphill centre faced a Section 51 cancellation notice due to persistent non-compliance, later subject to additional court conditions. Inspire Wellbeing CLG failed to investigate incidents and had inadequate living arrangements. Nua Healthcare Services addressed fire safety issues after an immediate action. Horizons needed improvements in living arrangements and risk mitigation."
