"Ireland's Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) published a protocol for a health technology assessment (HTA) of COVID-19 vaccination. The assessment aims to estimate disease burden, evaluate clinical effectiveness and safety of vaccines, and perform cost-effectiveness and budget impact analyses. It will inform the Department of Health on vaccination policy for the 2027–2028 season, based on updated NIAC recommendations from May 2025. The protocol includes establishing an Expert Advisory Group with patient representation and public consultation. No results are provided."
