"HIQA has commenced a health technology assessment (HTA) on the transition of young people with severe neurological impairment (SNI) from paediatric to adult healthcare, as well as the organisation of adult services for this group. Requested by the Department of Health, the HTA will evaluate clinical effectiveness, organisational requirements, and ethical/social implications. The protocol has been published, and the full report is due later."
