"The Irish Health Service Executive (HSE) has published a new tiered Autism Assessment and Intervention Pathway Protocol. It standardizes assessment across HSE, funded bodies, and private providers. Adults can self-refer; parents can refer children. Implementation begins in Quarter 3 2026, supported by in-reach teams to upskill community staff. The protocol uses a neuro-affirmative approach and was developed with input from those with lived experience and clinicians."
