• 50 inspection reports on residential centres for older people published by HIQA on 21 July 2026.
• 28 centres fully or substantially compliant; 15 non-compliant with ≤3 regulations; 7 non-compliant with ≥4 regulations.
• Non-compliance areas: staffing, training, records, governance, premises, food and nutrition, care plans, risk management, fire precautions, residents' rights.
• Providers must submit compliance plans to address non-compliance.

"The Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) has published 50 inspection reports on residential centres for older people in Ireland. Of these, 28 centres were fully or substantially compliant, 15 were non-compliant with three or fewer regulations, and 7 were non-compliant with four or more regulations. Non-compliance areas included staffing, training, records, governance, premises, food and nutrition, care plans, risk management, fire precautions, and residents' rights. Providers must submit compliance plans to address failures."
