HIQA Commences Work on New National Health Dataset Catalogue for Ireland (hiqa.ie)

• HIQA publishes requirements for National Health Dataset Catalogue
• Catalogue enhances data discoverability and supports EHDS readiness
• Testing with 7 data holders in May 2026, wider rollout in November 2026

"HIQA has published the National Health Dataset Catalogue Requirements and Specifications Report as part of the HealthData@IE project. This new digital catalogue will make Irish health data discoverable nationally and across the EU, supporting policy, research, and health service management. Building on a previous catalogue of 132 datasets, it will be tested with key data holders in May 2026 and rolled out widely in November 2026, enhancing Ireland's readiness for the European Health Data Space."
