"HIQA has opened a six-week public consultation on updated National Standards for Residential Services for Disabled People, replacing the 2013 version. The consultation runs from 4 June to 17 July 2026 and seeks feedback from service users, families, staff, and organisations. The updated standards apply to all designated centres in Ireland providing residential or respite care for disabled adults and children, regardless of operator. Accessible materials include Lámh and Irish Sign Language videos."
