"Mallow General Hospital in Ireland has opened 24 new single-occupancy inpatient rooms, raising total bed capacity from 71 to 95. The expansion, part of a two-phase project, aims to improve patient flow and align with Sláintecare principles by providing care closer to home. Phase 1 added 48 single rooms in 2023. The HSE and local TD welcomed the development as easing pressure on the acute system."
