National Centre for Pharmacoeconomics Publishes Budget Impact Guideline Version 1.1 (ncpe.ie)

• NCPE updated its Budget Impact Guideline to version 1.1 on 13 April 2026.
• New guidance includes applying a 5% Framework Rebate for new medicines in scenario analyses.
• Guideline emphasises use of Irish data and age-standardised prevalence/incidence rates.

"The NCPE released version 1.1 of its Budget Impact Guideline on 13 April 2026, providing updated guidance on conducting budget impact analyses for drug submissions to the HSE. The guideline covers the required use of the NCPE Budget Impact Model Template, inclusion of framework rebate scenarios, and age-standardised prevalence rates. It applies to rapid reviews and full health technology assessments."
